HYS: Should Newcastle sign Kenedy or Grealish this summer?

sbo666 Newcastle have already been linked with a whole host of attackers this summer, but would the return of a familiar face be best? Rafael Benitez is desperate to add more attacking firepower to his side this summer, and with the Magpies already linked to countless wingers and strikers, it would be no surprise to see them splash out mega money on a forward player. One of the most tenable transfer rumours so far is the link to Jack Grealish, who is almost certain to leave Aston Villa this summer.

According to the Daily Mail, the Villans need to “plug a £45m black hole to avoid Financial Fair Play sanctions”, and the 22 year-old midfielder is their most sellable asset. The Mail report does not mention the Magpies in connection with Grealish, who was Villa’s standout performer in their playoff run, but the feisty young Englishman would certainly be a good fit on Tyneside.

sbo666 When the Magpies announced the permanent signing of Martin Dubravka this week, fans all called for popular loan signing Kenedy to be next, but which winger would fans prefer?. Both youngsters are 22, have a big sting in their tail, and love getting the crowd off their seats with dazzling forward runs. Grealish has played more centrally for Villa this season, but his excellent dribbling and work rate would make him a perfect fit on the wing in Rafael Benitez’s favoured 4-2-3-1 formation.

sbo666 The Englishman is probably the more experienced, polished product, but Kenedy already has a special connection with the fans on Tyneside. The price difference is what should push the Magpies towards the Brazilian though, as reports suggest the Villa youngster could go for as much as £40m this summer. So, Newcastle fans, which young attacker would you rather sign this summer? Let us know your thoughts by voting in the poll below…

The former Liverpool teammate Steven Gerrard is considering signing for Rangers

maxbet There's major changes happening at Rangers this summer.Five new signings have been made since the inexperienced Steven Gerrard was appointed manager last month.Deals for goalkeeper Allan McGregor, defender Nikola Katic, midfielders Scott Arfield and Ovie Ejaria and winger Jamie Murphy have already been completed.

And it appears that Gerrard is far from finished in the transfer market. The new Rangers boss - who has a major job on his hands - insisted that he is not focusing on rivals Celtic yet.“I have to sort Rangers out," said Gerrard. "There are things we need to improve on and my focus is on Rangers. “There are some good teams in the league but for me I wouldn’t be doing my job properly if I was focusing on the other teams."

GERRARD INTERESTED IN FORMER TEAMMATE
Gerrard has already used his links to Liverpool to sign one player. Ejaria, 20, joined on a season-long loan from the Reds, having played under Gerrard in the Liverpool youth team last season. According to the Daily Record, the new Rangers boss is currently weighing up a move for 25-year-old full-back Jon Flanagan. maxbet

The England international made his debut for Liverpool as a teenager in 2011 but was released by Jurgen Klopp this summer.Flanagan, who was given a 12-month community order for assaulting his girlfriend, was most recently on loan at Bolton Wanderers in the Championship.Liverpool condemned Flanagan ‘in the strongest possible terms’ before sending him on loan to Bolton in January. A statement from the club said: “We condemn, in the strongest possible terms, the player’s actions during the events that took place resulting in this criminal conviction.

“It leaves his own reputation damaged and, through association, he has severely let down the club he had previously represented with distinction.“We have expressed to him our disappointment and anger that he has failed to live up to the values of Liverpool Football Club, in this specific instance.”Gerrard reportedly believes he can help Flanagan get his career back on track.

maxbet Dubbed the 'Scouse Cafu' during his time on Merseyside, Flanagan would provide strong competition to James Tavernier for the right-back slot.Rangers have a limited budget so it's not surprising Gerrard is keen to pick up a player with Flanagan's experience on a free transfer.
